GIVE ME THE HONEY, HONEY

Honey has been providing humans with benefits for thousands of years, dating back to ancient Egypt, Rome, Greece, India and China. It has long been a significant part of human history, valued across various cultures for more than just its sweetness. Historical records from ancient civilizations indicate its role in medicine and daily life. Today, this golden elixir still plays a timeless role in both traditional and modern wellness practices due to it’s many benefits.

BENEFITS:

  1. Rich in antioxidants that protect your cells from damage, has an anti-inflammatory effect, boosts immunity

  2. Antibacterial and antimicrobial properties that are effective internally as well as externally

  3. Raw honey contains vitamins, minerals, amino acids and enzymes

  4. Counteracts allergies to pollen. These immunotherapy benefits are due to the bee pollen content in raw honey. If you consume local raw honey you are slowly exposing yourself to the pollen and over time become less sensitive to it.

  5. Provides a natural energy source. It is easily absorbed and can provide quick energy before a workout.

TYPES:

  • Raw: Unprocessed and unheated, retains the most nutrients and health benefits.

  • Manuka: Known for its potent antibacterial properties, often used in medical and skincare applications.

  • Buckwheat: Darker honey with a stronger flavor, rich in antioxidants.

  • Clover & Wildflower: Lighter in color and flavor, commonly used as a sweetener.
